The plan is to start releasing the first several episodes of the Breaking Student Debt Podcast within the next 2 weeks depending on how long it takes for iTunes to approve my request to be approved. I will likely start putting the episodes on here in the mean time so people can have access to them sooner. Enjoy!

I am incredibly excited to announce the first few guests on the podcast:
  • Episode #1 - Short Introduction ft. Will Boyd, DPT and Host
  • Episode #2 - "Walking into the Unknown" with guest John G., the author and founder of Declassified Dollar
  • Episode #3 - "Dear Debt: How I Beat You" ft. guest Melanie Lockert, author and founder of DearDebt.com as well as her recently released book: Dear Debt: A Story About Breaking Up With Debt
  • Episode #4 - "Diversify Your Income" with guest Greg Todd, PT and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Physical Therapy Builder

There will be more announcements coming soon as I have been able to schedule more guest interviews! Hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays!

Here's to marching our way out of the red and into the green!

Let the games begin...

So it has begun. I am officially done with my academic coursework as well my clinical rotations. I graduate in one week from tomorrow and reality is setting in. I OWE A LOT OF F****** MONEY. Over $155,000 to be exact. Apparently Doctorate degrees aren't cheap. Who would have thought? ;)

What is this podcast/blog/project? It's my attempt to learn from people who have successfully overcome their student and personal debts through interviews, blogs, and videos. As the journey progresses, I will continue to document and synthesize the lessons learned along the way.

Why not just do this for myself? Why start a podcast? Well, I like people. I like helping people. That's probably the reason 99% of people get into Physical Therapy as a profession and I'm no different. I've also seen so many of my friends be forced into making undesirable job, personal, and financial decisions due to the weight of their student loans hanging over them.

My hope is that we can all learn together and break ourselves free from debt. Thank you for taking time to stop here and I hope that you find a little bit of value during your stay.

Kindest regards,
Will

I avoided thinking about money for years. Now I'm trying to understand personal finance and help others strip away their debt as well.
